NRCO9 conducts skills training to 100 OFW returnees

The National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO) Region IX in coordination with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region IX, facilitated the conduct of the "Balik Pinay Balik Hanapbuhay Program" (BPBH) Skills Training on Food Processing last May 18, 2017 at Cecille's Hotel and Catering Services, Tumaga Porcentro, Zamboanga City.
The training was participated by 100 Women OFW Returnees from Zamboanga City. Department of Labor and Employment IX Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo, CESO III graced the event as Guest Speaker.
Further, relative to the activity, an awarding ceremony of Livelihood Starter Kits was held last June 20, 2017 in the same venue where a total of 99 OFW Women availees received their starter kits personally handed over by RD Domingo as assistance under the mentioned program.
The "Balik Pinay Balik Pinay Program" is one of the regular programs of NRCO that prioritizes distressed or displaced Women OFWs by providing them with skills training and a productive livelihood undertaking for self-employment opportunities as per DOLE Administrative Order No. 120-16.
