DOLE9 empowers Zampen PESO Managers in MYPA
July 19, 2017
The Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 9 (DOLE 9) has successfully conducted the 2017 Public Employment Service Office - Mid-Year Performance Assessment (PESO MYPA) last July 4-5, 2017 at the Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City.
A total of 110 participants attended the said activity where 91 of them were PESO Managers from the different cities and municipalities in the Zamboanga Peninsula Region. The activity aims to educate and inform the PESO managers on major revisions in some of DOLE's programs and services. It also serves as an avenue for PESO managers to present their first semester accomplishments.
DOLE 9 Regional Director Ofelia B. Domingo served as the over-all facilitator/resource speaker where she emphasized the value of capacitating the PESO Managers, being the implementing arm of DOLE, in the delivery of its programs and services. She likewise inspired the participants by laying down worthwhile capacity building activities lined up for them this year to further enhance their knowledge and skills.
DOLE 9 invited Mr. Jonix Paniagua, PESOMAP National Vice-President, as Resource Speaker, to share his experiences and best practices as a PESO Manager of PGO-Sultan Kudarat. Workshop sessions were conducted to encourage the participants to freely express issues and concerns working as PESO Managers in their respective areas of responsibility.
To showcase the PESO's role in the implementation of DOLE's livelihood program, DOLE9 also launched the Search for Best PESO Livelihood AVP which will showcase video documentations of their livelihood beneficiaries enrolled to DOLE's Kabuhayan Programs.
PESO Managers will look forward to another regional activity designed to update the newly designated officers and the concurrent ones of new programs and services.
