"68% HOTS on DOLE ZamboSur' Job Fair"

Pagadian City - 162 applicants(65 males and 97 females) out of 238 registered applicantswerehired on the spot during a Job Fair facilitated by the Department of Labor and Employment Zamboanga del Sur Field Office, upon the request of some 20 Canning industries and Allied Services held at City Executive Function Hall, Pagadian City, on April 07, 2016.
The canning industries posted some 1,973 job vacancies for Production/Factory Workers, Accounting Staff, Nurses and other office positions offered by the participating companies include PERMEX Producer and Exporter Corporation, BigFish Foods Corporation and Century Pacific Foods, which are based in Zamboanga City.
OIC-Head Camilo A. Encila, Jr. of DOLE Zamboanga del Sur said that applicants would no longer exert time, money and effort in finding jobs because the Job Fair is the perfect venue for the jobseekers and employers to meet. "It is a give and take activity, employers will give the unemployed the opportunity to find a job, and jobseekers/hired applicants will be alleviated from unemployment.
Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC) Chairman Romeo P. Pulmones represented by Councilor Bien Culve expressed that he was delighted of the DOLE and the City Government partnership in giving programs and services to people, especially for those unemployed persons.
The first leg of the Jobs Fair was held in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province on April 6, followed by PagadianCity on April 7, and on April 8 in Dipolog City.
