Zamboanga City - With the theme, "Kinabukasan Sigurado sa Disenteng Trabaho", the Department of Labor and Employment Regional Office No. 9 (DOLE RO 9) through the DOLE- Zamboanga City Field Office (DOLE-ZCFO) and in partnership with the Zamboanga City Public Employment Service Office (ZC-PESO) and Zamboanga Ecozone PESO, a Mega Job Fair will be conducted on May 1, 2016 at Zamboanga Ecozone, San Ramon, Talisayan, Zamboanga City.

DOLE RO 9 Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano, in his statement yesterday during the DOLE and Family of Agencies' meeting, emphasized that the highlight of the Labor Day activity will be the conduct of the Mega Job Fair that will cater to fresh graduates and unemployed individuals.

DOLE-ZCFO posted 30,056 job vacancies comprising 3,500 for local and 26, 554 for overseas. Leading the roster for local vacancies are factory and production workers, police officers, quality control staff, factory supervisors, and other retail, community, social, and personal services.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration Regional Extension Unit 9 (POEA- REU IX) announced that there are 26, 554 job vacancies available for Labor Day Job Fair. Overseas recruitment agencies are looking for construction workers, engineers, IT related services, nurses,and radiation technicians, other health-related and personal services.

Interested applicants are required to pre-register at Zamboanga City PESO located at the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Pettit Barracks, Zamboanga City.
