In our efforts to bridge the gap between the job providers and job seekers and bring government service closer to the citizens, DOLE 9 turned over 2 units of the enhanced job search kiosks - the Phil-JobNet to the local government of Zamboanga City and Ecozone. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between DOLE 9 Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano, City Mayor Ma. Isabel Climaco- Salazar and Chairman Christopher Lawrence S. Arnuco was witnessed by Hon. Secretary Dimapilis-Baldoz during her recent regional visit on June 23, 2015.
This web-based job matching facility and labor market informational portal will facilitate and make easy the employees looking for job and employers searching for qualified workers. Director Cano encouraged the stakeholders "to go-on line and take advantage of this as listing of job vacancies and registry of skills in the market are now within our finger tips".
Both LGU Zamboanga and ECOZONE are solid development partners in the employment facilitation programs with an established and functional Public Employment and Service Office and unit, thus this enabling conduit substantive information and relevant services of DOLE and its' Family of Agencies.
To the job seekers, it would be helpful if they regularly update their employment portfolio including summary of working experience, skills and training - the major criteria and consideration preferred by the employers.
The enhanced internet address is www.phil-jobnet.dole.gov.ph.
The job search kiosk will be stationed at the City Hall or PESO Office for LGU Zamboanga City while ECOZONE Management will set up at the main lobby as a value added information system to stakeholders with the timely declaration of the zone as labor laws and child labor-free compliant.
