JOBFAIR FOR ZAMBOANGUENOS

Zamboanga City- Taking into consideration the dispute occurred between the Moro National Liberation Front members and the Government troops which resulted to vast increase in the number of displaced workers in the City, and to highlight the 80th Anniversary of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Zamboanga City Field Office (ZCFO), in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Zamboanga City, will be conducting a one-day Job Fair to be held at the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC) Training Center, Pettit Barracks, Zamboanga City on December 5, 2013.
The said activity will be participated in by thirty-three (33) local and overseas recruitment agencies catering 34, 615 job vacancies for skilled workers, to include engineers, drivers, receptionist, cashiers, cooks, electricians, factory workers, customer service representatives, IT administrators, sales ladies/clerk, caregiver, instructors, mechanical/electronic technicians, and health service workers.
DOLE RO 9 OIC- Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano emphasized that this job fair is just timely. "We have to cater to the increasing needs of our clientele. This is one way of alleviating the sufferings that the Zamboanguenos have experienced.
The conduct of this Job Fair is one avenue to promote gainful employment opportunities not only to those affected during the siege, but to those who continuously seek for greener pastures", Cano said.
