NRCO 9 awards teaching kits to newly-hired teachers

The National Reintegration Center for OFWs in Region (NRCO) has provided teaching kits to four former overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) who are now teachers in the provinces of Zamboanga del Sur and Del Norte.
NRCO Regional Coordinator Sherwin Mendizabel said that four beneficiaries of the Sa Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma'am/Sir (SPIMS) Program received their teaching kits worth P10,000 each, which comprised of a 7GB Tablet and 32GB Micro-SD Card.
The four SPIMS beneficiaries who personally received their kits at the DOLE Field Offices were Ms. Adylenn Obina Belarmino of Binoni Elementary School in Salug, Zamboanga del Norte, Mr. Bellven Herrera Galleposo of Dapitan City Experimental Elementary School, Ms. Farah Fernandez Remoto of Upper Tiparak Elementary School in Tambulig and Mr. Bernie Geographia of Dulop National High School in Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur.
The beneficiaries are among eight (8) teachers who were pre-qualified in the program for the year 2015-2016 who were given Teacher 1 plantilla positions and were deployed to their respective schools of assignment in Zamboanga Peninsula this year.
"Sa Pinas, Ikaw ang Ma'am/Sir" Program is a convergence project of the DOLE NRCO and Department of Education that provides opportunities for OFWs who are Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) passers to practice their profession and promote reverse migration through enhancement of skills and encouraging them to stay for good in the country.
The beneficiaries have expressed their gratefulness to the government and shared that through the NRCO, they are thankful to have been given the opportunity to work again in their beloved country.
