Taking Labor Contracting and "Endo" Extensively

Dipolog City - The Department of Labor and EmploymentZamboanga del Norte Field Office (DOLE-ZDNFO), in coordination with the Local Government Unit of Dipolog City, conducted anorientation on D.O. No. 162-16 and Labor Advisory No. 10-2016 dubbed as "Dipolog City Employment Summit, A Policy Advocacy Forum on Department Order No. 162-16 and Labor Advisory No. 10-2016" last September 9, 2016 at the Boulevard Complex, Boulevard, Dipolog Cityto remind contractors,service and manpower providers, and their clients of its intensified campaign for the regularization of the Filipino workers.
A total of 115 participants, consisting of employers and employees, government agencies, guests, and stakeholders attended the said forum.
Dipolog City Mayor Darel Dexter T. Uy graced the event and expressedhis gratitude to everyone for responding to the invitation during his welcome message. He assured both the employers and employees that he will always look into their welfare. A symbolic unity pact among the Local Government of Dipolog City, DOLE, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Livelihood Skill Development and Enhancement Center of DipologCity was facilitated to publicly announce the respective agencies' support to the development of enterprises and gainful employment in the City.
Dipolog City PESO Manager ErnestoRojograbbed the chance to inform the participants on the programs and services of the Public Employment Service Office of Dipolog City to include the GoNegosyosaDipolog which will be launched and/or open soon in close coordination with DTI.
The activity ended with a message from the Officer-in-Charge of DOLE Technical Support and Services Division (DOLE-TSSD) Maria Elena T.Alabata with an appeal to the business community to voluntarily comply with the marching order on regularizing 50% contractual workers by the end of 2016 and 100% by the end of December 2017
