Diligent Contractual Employee Earns Post in the Government Service

A 22-year old bachelor,Butch Jason CuaresmaTormis, from Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte earned his post from contractual to regular employee as Labor and Employment Officer II in the Department of Labor and Employment Region 9.
Hired as a contractual Project Coordinatorof the National Skills Registry System (NSRS) Program for 15 months in DOLE Zamboanga del Norte Field Office (ZDNFO),productively boosts the effectiveness of said program increasing for more than 25,000 registrants in the Skills Registry which is then used as information-on-hand following the skills available in conducting Jobs Fair, manpower resources who are employed in various LGU Projects, for livelihood and TESDA scholarship interventionundertaken by project implementers.
Apart from that, his technical skills and expertise in the preparation of livelihood project proposals were efficiently brought into play in satisfying the target utilization. Further, he properly assisted and handled matters relating financial management and support in DOLE ZDNFO.
His determination, efforts and discipline were then recognized by the Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano appointing him in the position of Labor and Employment Officer II on May 2015. Mr. Tormis is now assigned in DOLE Zamboanga del Sur Fiend Office (ZDSFO), Pagadian City to effectively implement the programs and services of the office.
Mr. Tormis is a graduate of Saint Vincent's College, Dipolog City with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and successfully passed the board examination for Certified Public Accountants in 2013. He is active and a present Director in the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Zamboanga del Norte Chapter, also served as Treasurer in the previous year. Pursuing his studies in the College of Law in the J.H. Cerilles State College in Pagadian City.
