DOLE ZAMBOSUR COMMEMORATES LABOR DAY 2015

Pagadian City-7:30 in the morning of May 1, 2015, the participants for the motorcade mustered in the assembly area at the DOLE office going to the venue at the covered court, Plaza Luz, Pagadian City, signaling the beginning of the whole-day Labor Day affair. There were lots of attendees coming from the different government offices and establishments around the city who gave their fulcrum with the celebration with its theme "DisentengTrabaho at Kabuhayan, Alay NatinSa Bayan".
In line with this merriment, the program was formally opened by Mr. Levi Cabatcha , representing the Labor Sector through his message that welcomed everyone on that memorable day. It was then followed by an inspirational message of Hon. Romeo "Tata" P. Pulmones, Chairman of the Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC), represented by the PESO Manager Virginia B. Almirol. Truly his message really gave an encouragement to the Filipino workers. He emphasized that "Filipino workers are known around the world to be industrious, respectful, caring, responsible, law-abiding and patient".
On this noble day, the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) funds and Skills Registry System (SRS) IT Equipment were turned-over to the beneficiaries and SRS 5th wave implementers respectively. Mr. Camilo A. EncilaJr, OIC-Head of the DOLE- Zamboangadel Sur Field Office, assisted bythe DOLE- family of Agencies, and TIPC Vice Chairman turned over the IT Equipment, tools and jigs that would somehow help the beneficiaries augment their way of living.
A livelihood project was given to Hon. Belman to turn over to the Organic Poultry Raising of Mr. Rogelio J. Saniel, Chairman of the Saniel Integrated Farm Technological Business School Inc. in the amount of Php.340, 000.00 and Tupad Project of San Miguel in the amount of Php.491, 040.00 The Piggery Project Planet Association of Culasian, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur also received a check worth Php.122, 000.00. Likewise, the Piggery Project of Adelfa Association Kundom, San Pablo, ZamboangadelSur received a check worth Php.122, 000.00. Individual Starter Kits were given to the parents of the 35 deserving parents of Child Laborers in San Pedro, Pagadian City who received a a total amount of worth Php.395, 985.00 of Kabuhayan Starter Kits.
Twenty-eight parents of Child Workers of Sta. Lucia and Dumagoc, Pagadian City were also given starter kits totaling to Php.317, 368.00. Individual starter kit projectsreleased on that day pegged to Php.2, 005, 993.00.
Mr. Eulalio B. Lumactod, TESDA, Provincial Director opined in his message about how essential is the education to every human being and most especially to the youth of today. A DTI representative also shared his message about the "Diskwento" Fair Mechanics on the different establishments around the city.
Indeed, the said event marks the history of the Labor Day in the year 2015 and will surely leave a memorable trail to everyone through its worth remembering and awestruck bash.
