LEES INFOMERCIAL ONBOARD WEEZAM EXPRESS

Zamboanga City-The Labor and Employment Education Services (LEES) infomercial through an audio-visual production of the Department of Labor and Employment is now onboard the WEEZAM Express, a fast sea craft plying the route of Zamboanga City-Isabela City, Basilan and vice-versa.
The fast sea craft, owned and operated by HadjiWahab A. Amil, has 8 trips daily and can transport an average of 900 to 1,000 passengers the whole day.
Captain Vernon Padilla, WEEZAM Operations Manager and Vice-Chair for Management of the Maritime Industry Tripartite Council (MITC) in Zamboanga Peninsula Region, disclosed that the viewing of the LEES infomercial is scheduled during embarkation of passengers at both seaports of Zamboanga and Isabela Cities. He further informed DOLE-9 that he will bring the same AVP material for viewing in their fast sea crafts routing Visayas islands.
DOLE-9 Regional Director Sisinio B. Cano stressed that the infomercial of DOLE is a brain child of Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz that provides awareness and information to the general public on the various programs and services of the Department. DOLE-9 has partnered with the management of WEEZAM Express as part of the latter's corporate social responsibility in providing appropriate and timely information to their passengers on DOLE's programs and services.
Meanwhile, DOLE-9 is closely coordinating with the management of Aleson Shipping Lines, Inc. to play LEES infomercial in their passenger ships both navigating in domestic and international seawater.
The maiden viewing of LEES in partnership with Aleson Shipping Lines is scheduled on March 19, 2014 at M/V Danica Joy plying Zamboanga-Malaysia via Bongao, Tawi-Tawi route and vice-versa.
A signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for this joint undertaking of DOLE and the management of the two shipping companies is scheduled in this City during the launching of the Regional Programs and Services of the Department.
